Now the rain comes down the windows and it drops onto the forehead of the waiting boy.
He surveys his rental kingdom and he wonders if he's really lost his one joy.

Another fool would go down to the only place she ever went to lose herself.

She's gone to the movies now and she don't need your help.

Now the rain turns into snowfall as the city sky reflects the silver street below.
And it covers up the cars and the "Wallflowers' CD" ended half an hour ago.

Another fool would dig the broken car out from the snow and drive to find the show...

I've gone to the movies now and I don't need your help.

And strange it seems how rapidly youth's years joins the ages.
Gone much too soon yet captured.
Here on these crowded pages... Of the book called life.

Scars and Callouses

Did it feed your ego...
When your kingdom was my world
And your arms were my home?
Teaching me shapes and colours and language
Only you and I could understand.
Making magic and music and arts only us could ever learn.

But it felt like a rented home.
A kingdom without a fireplace.
And outside was the only place I  found where I could lose myself from the cold.

Did it hurt your ego now...
Now that I don't need your help?
Now that you are desperate proving yourself?
Now that you are helpless proving your worth...
To me.

I could only speak the language with you.
But I've learned to talk to others even though not the same with you.
I can see black and white and gray
Not the same colours you taught me
But they are still colours, the same.
I am fine.

When all of the fools who think they're wise,
Would try to fool the real wise,
They only harm their own.
Making my scars more calloused
I don't feel them anymore...
Unaffected.

We created lots of memories
Without a story.
Somewhere all along we lost the magic of making stories.
Stories of love yet untold.
Blended with pain and chaos.
Somewhere all along.
We die unrequited and unknown.

A World of Silence

You were too attentive to listen to me.
Like every breathe I take you take note of it.
Learning me first before you respond.
But when it was my time to listen
You did not speak.
Silence is all I get.
And I wonder what is your reply.
Because silence is the broadest response in every conversation.
It's neither a yes nor no.
Just silence...
Then nothing.
Here goes my favorite song ever!

Heaven I Have Known

You were painting rainbows all along...
And I was colorblind.

You taught me how to see it...
Until I finally could, in time.

You hand me your brush...
So I could paint mine.

But I was too scared to hold it...
Scared I might destroy your work so fine.

You said - "just feel the colors"...
But I was afraid I might lose it once I touched something so divine.

Until I am on the verge of losing you...
Or maybe I already lost you along the way.
Or were you never really there?
But I thought it was real.
It felt real.
Until oblivion is all it gets.
Dreams of you fading away.
Like a cloud that settles in the day.

But you will always be my rainbow... giving me hope.

You will always be my sunset... forever so beautiful, beautiful soul.

You will forever be my shooting star... that never fell.

My moon that shines to light my darkest days.

You're the heaven that I have known.

Footnotes:
Heaven I Have Known was an open poetry that I wrote years ago which I never dared to close. Maybe the time was not right back then, or maybe it was a wrong inspiration that I knew to my heart I am writing it half-hearted for him. It was really not about him. It was never him.

Until the right inspiration came.
The poetry is done I guess.
He came into my life so long ago so I could finish what I have started.

It was a journey with so many people along the way but I'm still searching that face in the faceless crowd.

The empty chair reserved just for that soul.

I believe that people come and go.
They leave nothing but traces of lessons and inspirations.

But there will always be that one exception. The one who showed the real colors. The one who spoke the true language only you could understand and you can't talk to others anymore... No, not the way you talk to each other. The one who gave everything under the heavens a meaning. The one that is all that matters.

And to me it was with that one beautiful soul I met along.

Sometimes I think I was born at the wrong time. But who am I to  question the fate. So I just carry on.

So here's a poetry that I could say with my whole heart that it is for him.

Not half-hearted.
Not equivocal.
Not ambiguous.

But one honest...
True...
Sincere...
Poetry for only one person.

Strewn Everywhere

If you read between the lines
You will find lies.
And if you read between the lies...
I hope you find broken pieces of truth...
Strewn everywhere.

Still Painting Rainbows

There you are
Painting rainbows in my bright sky
Putting an inverted arc
On my mouth with your smiling eyes.

We could have stayed there
Forever on that same page
Or maybe a Little longer
But your Dreams are buying your age.

And so the cold night came
But there you are still painting rainbows in my Dark skies
Still putting colors the same
With your beautiful pair of eyes.

And you just knew then
That I can't see your rainbows in the Dark night
So you planted little stars in heaven
So I see your face again like a light.

And I wanted to be your Moon
Reflecting your shadows In the bright day of May
I wanted to be your light til Dawn
The way you're shining brighter than the sun of the day.

You'll never feel alone...
Unless you long to be with someone.
