Millionaire Status

 But everyone has their own standards.

Some find happiness in love,

Some in their careers,

Some in all the money can buy.

But these happiness, in whatever form, is in its way a definition of success.

And we may we find success in whatever defines our happiness.

May these happiness makes us feel that we are millionaires in our own little way.

Like every end of summers,

Tomorrow's gonna rain,

I want her to remember

All the lovely sunsets in our window pane.

In the weekends we're up til 4 in the morning,

As we decode the lyrics in music we listen to,

And we try to discover all the meanings,

And stories behind the words we sing to.

I tell her my sweet childhood,

I tell her my happy highschool.

I tell her and she understood,

That she has to live her life with a heart that's full.

I tell her how college was like,

I tell her not to stop learning after that.

I tell her to dance in highs and lows alike,

 Like a bag of tea,

Dipped into the hot water,

It brings out the flavor in you.

Like a storm that passed,

Leaving a hazy afterglow of prisms,

It brings out the colors in you.

So with every strings

Attached, unattached and even the broken ones too.

Remember to pick up the brushes and not the matches,

Repaint your canvas and don't turn them all to ashes,

For every bends and cracks,

Gives you a beautiful break-up.

 When I look back to the past,

How promising the future was,

The youth that we thought will last,

Now are just afterglows of the "once was us".

It was just like yesterday,

The so called "those were the days".

And every bitter-sweet nostalgia,
