And I ran...
My way...
Back to you.
But I don't want to fall...
If its not safe...
To love you.
I don't want to jump...
Into your arms...
Not knowing if you'll catch me too.
And I don't want to slip...
Into illusions...
Of blurry and gray hues.
So that is why...
I don't want to fall...
If its not safe...
To love you.
Dates and names long forgotten,
But they are all written in black and white art,
In the shadows of her memories revisited so often.
But it was different when it was you who turned.
Like a million falling stars the heavens unwrapped,
Aligned in front of my eyes and framed.
And I wouldn't mind burning all the bridges,
If that would mean I could build one to get to you.
Amidst the tides, the waves, the breaches,
Adding all the clauses to justify that it's you.
It was so elating to have these wings,
Soaring high above until there's oblivion in everything.
But the heavens got lonely,
When for all we know it was built perfectly.
And we all shine in our brightest,
Until no one knows what shining really meant.
Like how will you know you're on top of a mountain?
When all your life you never looked down on plains.
And so everyone chased liberty out of the perfection,
Cause we found out that there is a flaw in our heavenly civilization,
And when all of the angels are fallen,
I was left alone here in heaven.
